Sunday is the Christmas episode so I would say it is a safe bet that there will be an update Thursday with a episode tie in to kick off the snow and Christmas event. I think last year it was on the 9th or 10th of December though.

I have spots open again too. I slowed down playing during the Clash of Clans update and a few people dropped me. I am Level 45 and do play daily.
