• I went into edit mode and hid everything except for characters. I saw that a bunch of them were stuck in my Springfield Heights. Maybe because I have a lot of buildings close together. I put a bunch of them in my inventory and all the beasts started moving again.

• I'm on Android 4.3, Samsung Galaxy S 3. I was able to fix this issue by clearing cache and force closing the application. This can be done from application manager.
