I have tried this auto lock thing three or four times, and the screen just reverts to the iPad home screen after 20 or 30 minutes. It does not work

It downloaded, yet all I got were harps again, so if that was a fix, it failed miserably.

I've been out of this game now for 2 or 3 weeks. For the last week, I've been away and not even tried. Just tried a moment ago and still crashes and reverts back to my "desktop" on my iPad when I try to tap to play Tried the deleting and reinstall a couple of times two weeks ago - no result.

OK - I played a little and the game still blanks out after about 20 or so minutes and 60% of the money I collected was not saved. Just logged in. Unlike some others, my town came back just as I left it, and the donuts were deposited as promised. I played a little while and went over to the "other" Springfield. Unfortunately this does not work for me. And, other than sending characters on chores, the quests that involve building things have ended. I see people have built race tracks, stores, etc. before level 20 and I have never been given those assignments. Perhaps they want me to buy donuts and spend money, but with the way…
