Can anybody elaborate on what the update was, why so secretive?

My guess is that this 3.8gb update was actually the UFC 4 update. They are trying out the minor tweaks that they will be selling as a new game for full price.

This update was to help address crashes some players were experiencing when they loaded up the game.
