Voice and Text Chat unavailable due to Brazilian age restriction on adult acc

I'm reporting what appears to be a bug affecting communication features in Apex Legends on PS5.

Whenever I hold the touchpad button to open the chat in a match, Apex Legends displays the message:

"Voice and text chat aren't available for your account."

I cannot use voice chat. I cannot hear other players. I cannot use text chat.

In Settings -> Audio, there's only 3 options: "Master Volume",  "Audio Mix" and "Advanced Audio Options...". Below these settings the message is being displayed again. 

I have already verified the following:

I am over 18 years old (26).

My EA Account date of birth is correct.

My email is verified.

My account has no sanctions or restrictions.

My PS5 has no parental controls enabled.

My EA account is linked only to my PlayStation Network account and Twitch.

My PlayStation account is an adult account.

Apex language was tested in Portuguese, English and Japanese, with the same result.

The voice chat is ENABLED in the in-game settings.

I also performed additional troubleshooting:

I logged into Apex using a different PlayStation account on the same PS5. The exact same message appears.

I tested another EA game (Battlefield 6) on the same console, and voice chat works normally there.

Additionally, I always played with two friends of mine. One is Brazilian and the other is American. I'm also Brazilian. My Brazilian friend is facing the same problem, but the American one is not having this problem.

Could you please investigate and solve this for me?

Hey man, I have the same problem and its been more than a month on ps5
The ps4 version of the game works fine btw I don’t know if that helps

it happened to me when I moved to Brazil too

I think its a regional problem

victormoraessp​ EA/Respawn isn't able to change anything that's in effect by a country's laws, so I recommend contacting PlayStation to see if this is an issue requiring an update or a verification of your age to abide by Brazil's laws.

If you're playing on PS5, could you let us know if you're able to use social features, such as Voice Chat or your Friends List, in any other EA games ?

I'm also from Brazil and I'm facing the same annoying issue: one thing I noticed is that my EA account was set to Portugal instead of Brazil for some reason, I changed it and will wait a few days to see if something changes

EA_Universa​ hello, yes in game chat is working on games it take two and battlefield the issue is affecting apex legends only

Still with the same problem, cant use chat in Apex legends since the new laws in Brazil, even after confirming Im adult and everything, nothing can help this bug ?
