I'm using both english and korean, and whenever i try to type something in in-game chat today after the patch, the game freezes. Keybinds aren't working at all, mouse is frozen too.
I tried to reboot my desktop, repair the game in ea app, disable using Unicode UTF-8 option in my keyboard settings, still didn't fix it

Got only English enabled, same exact thing..
UPDATE:
The friends list is now back for me, and that also seems to be the case for the others on the list. Happy for the issue to be closed as bug is no longer active.
Getting the same thing on PC as well.
As title says, when trying to use game chat, the keyboard and mouse inputs are no longer registered, so I can't even close the chat box, forcing me to quit the application. Not good
I have the same. Reported it via mutiple channels in labs already that the bug is present. They wouldn't care.
Same. Bug got reported before the patch went live. Din't help.
when you die, if you try to type something to chat while you waiting for revive, then if you revived hole inputs freeze and you can not type anything or close the chat box to continue. oly way to fix it closing the game and restart

Description:
Opening or entering the chat (pressing Enter to type) completely freezes the game. Mouse and keyboard inputs become unresponsive immediately. The game window remains visible but unresponsive—no movement, no menu access, nothing works. The only way to exit is to force-close via Alt+F4 or Task Manager. This started after the latest patch.
Please fix ASAP—this makes team communication impossible!

You can also repair bug weapons levels !!!
Opening chat window on PC soft locks game, have to close game to resolve.
