Refresh Rate Locked at Lower Rate When Playing on Secondary Display

I have a primary display that runs at 60 Hz for artwork. I generally need this to be my primary display because it causes issues with other programs. I play games on my secondary, lower resolution 144 Hz display.

When I launch with my regular setup in Battlefield 6, the refresh rate is locked at 60 until I set the high refresh rate monitor to be my main display. This is frustrating to do every time I boot the game. Even when I boot this way, it's locked at 144 Hz and I cannot change it. BF2042 did not have this issue.
