Xbox and PC players in a party not able to start games

I play on Xbox Series X, since the season 1 update, when I join my friend's party (friends are on PC), they are unable to start any matches, neither regular games or battle royal.

When they make me party leader or join my party, I can start the games.

This was not an issue before the update. The update broke the crossplay party system when a console player joins a PC player Party.
