F124 Crashing during pit Entry on practice (Driver Career)

Report code: GCSH-MERC-VXET-GDHD

During the Driver Career in Melbourne, Australia in practice, anytime you try and enter the pit, the game will instantly hang and then immediately crash to the desktop afterwards, showing no error reporter, nothing, However, on further inspection, event viewer does record at the time of the crash this event:

Event Viewer Error: Event 153, nvlddmkm
"The description for Event ID 153 from source nvlddmkm cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.

If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.

The following information was included with the event:

\Device\Video3
Error occurred on GPUID: 100

The message resource is present but the message was not found in the message table"
Event Logged: 26/03/2025 23:00:55
I've tried Driver rollbacks, Driver Display Uninstaller (DDU), Windows resets, Restart and Shutdowns on the PC, NONE have worked, same issue, always whenever I'm near the pit or entering, and I've reinstalled the game, nothing, other Intensive games such as Cities skylines 2 or Cyberpunk2077 have no issues, just F1 24 causing this issue, Even F1 23 is fine (BOTH installed Via EA, Not Steam), I used G-sync but I have tried it with it off aswell... even with minimal graphics settings.
Specs:
Intel I7-12700K
Nvidia RTX 3070 (Driver version 572.83)
ASUS TUF GAMING Z690-PLUS WIFI D4
Corsair 16gb (8GBx2, Dual Channel) 3200Mhz ram
Samsung 980 pro 2tb (C: drive, F1 24 installed here)
Samsung 870 QVO (D: drive)
Corsair ICUE and devices (check DxDiag.txt)
32" G75T QHD 240Hz Curved Odyssey Gaming Monitor

I've searched the entire Internet for answers and still came up with nothing.

  • For anyone else reading this, I managed to fix it by turning off Ray Tracing...
Tested it multiple times and ways, and it didn't crash at all with these settings (everything else stayed the same):

    Ray Tracing: Medium
    Ray Traced Shadows: Off
    Ray Traced Reflections: Off
    Ray Traced Ambient Occlusion: Off
    Ray Traced Transparent Reflections: Off
    Ray Traced DDGI: Off

Even with the settings toned down it would still crash, but turning it entirely off solved the crashing with the Event 153 nvlddmkm issue...
Despite the fact a Nvidia RTX 3070 (Non Laptop) is recommended for ray tracing...

Unfortunately already tried the Hardware settings file deletion.. it still happens...

I Tested it out 2 days ago, and it seems if your doing practice, if you immediately go out on a flying lap and immediately come back in to the pits before you initiate the first lap, the game doesn't crash, if you do a lap it will crash, no matter if your doing programmes or not...

I got a solution... Try deleting your hardware settings from my games-F1 24 and hardware settings. It worked for me
