They clearly aren't that strict anymore. If they were they'd never let EA get away with having a non champion race the 1 and having multiple cars with the same number racing each other. They've also never had F2 drivers using their F2 numbers before this DLC, if the FOM truly played a part in this it would've had to be a just now type of change. Crawford specifically ran the 7 in F2 2024 so meaning in base game F1 25 would've been running the 7 (putting both him and doohan out there in the 7 like they're doing now with him and perez in the 11) if the FOM was doing what you're claiming but the game has assigned him the 11 since day 1. We shouldn't be defending mediocrity and laziness, we know for a fact EA and codemasters can do much batter than this.

Yeah I know what numbers Jak drove in F2? Are you just fundamentally misunderstanding what my issue here is? Jak drove 7 in F2 2024 but in F1 25 myteam he drove the 11 when signed to your F1 team year 1, that was fine since Perez was gone, but now in F1 26 dlc, yes he drove the 11 in F2 2025 but he’s still using the 11 when signed to your my team in season 1 which is no longer fine with Perez back. Yes Fornaroli drove the 1 in F2 2025 but he’s still using the 1 on his F1 car when signed to your F1 my team in year 1. And no the FOM clearly has no involvement in it because they are inconsistent, Mini drove the 10 in F2 2025 and if you sign him to your my team at the start he’s driving a number in the 90’s. Also gets even more inconsistent I just made it to season 2 of a myteam save where I didn’t sign Jak Crawford at the start and he was signed by Cadillac and he’s running a different number, I’d have to get on and check to see the exact number cause I don’t remember but I know for sure it wasn’t a number taken by the other drivers and it certainly wasn’t the 11. Also saw Oliver Goethe get signed, he raced the 5 in F2 2025 but when signed in season 2 of myteam by an AI team he’s racing the 8. The fom clearly isn’t making them make the F2 drivers use their F2 numbers if they make it to F1 in the game so there is no reason we should be having these overlapping numbers
just in case I still wasn’t clear enough, my problem is not with their F2 numbers it’s with the fact they are using numbers when signed to F1, apparently specifically only when signed to your myteam, are numbers they aren’t allowed to use.
Their F2 numbers are all right to my knowledge and were only brought into this to prove that the FOM isn’t making EA and Codemasters have the F2 drivers use their F2 numbers in F1 like you’re suggesting

In your previous post you said the following...
Crawford specifically ran the 7 in F2 2024 so meaning in base game F1 25 would've been running the 7 if the FOM was doing what you're claiming but the game has assigned him the 11 since day 1.
I was providing video evidence that it does in fact works as I advised and he has not been 11 since day one.
As for your most recent comment, I am very well aware of what you are asking and it was answered correctly in my original post, and yes that holds true even if it causes drivers to be doubled up. It has been that way since at least 2024.
I've said my peace on this issue. It is not a bug and is working as intended.

In that comment I was referring to the fact that if what you’re saying was true then Jak, who ran the 7 in F2 2024 should’ve been given the 7 when you sign him in myteam which doesn’t happen, they’ve given him the 11 in myteam since day 1 in the base game so no your “video evidence” isn’t showing it works as advertised it’s showing that you misunderstood and tried to show me Jak’s F2 numbers after I had literally just told you the numbers he raced in F2 those years.
You also clearly didn’t answer my question because what you’re saying isn’t true, I’ve given multiple examples where the F2 drivers do not drive their F2 numbers when signed to F1 in the game, some have in the past sure but only when that number wasn’t already taken on the grid. They’ve never let the F2 drivers come into F1 in the game and double up on numbers until this DLC and even now when they’re doing it they’re inconsistent with it as I’ve already told you in my past comments which is proof alone that they are not mandated to have the F2 drivers race their former F2 numbers when they get signed to F1 in the game
This arguing really shouldn’t be happening, I don’t know what exact circumstances led to you misunderstanding my original post but that doesn’t matter these things happen all the time. Just admit you misunderstood it and stop trying to defend and justify the mistakes that EA and codemasters made, this is something they can easily fix and need to fix so they really don’t need people making excuses for them
If it was a licensing thing all F2 drivers would be using their F2 numbers when getting to F1 no matter the situation which isn’t what’s happening. None of them seem to use their F2 numbers if signed by one of the real F1 teams, and even when signed by your myteam not all of them use their F2 numbers like Jak and Leo do
