EA_Groguet​ same problem as off yesterday, can`t play online basicly the game is useless now

I Fixed the problem for myself!!!

after googling a lot of sites abou this problem i came across this fix

"unplugging all the unnecessary USB devices, excluding your mouse and keyboard, fixes the account required error in F1 25. Unplug all the devices, launch the game, and it’ll work"

for me i had a usb flash drive pluged in and was thinking no way this will be the problem, but after removing it the game logged in without any problems.

Hi EA_Groguet​ , I'm having the same issue with F1 25 on Steam - I keep getting the message "EA Account needed" when trying to play online. My accounts are linked, but the game doesn't recognize my EA account anymore and I can't access any online features. Report code: ZVBM-SJSG-HXMC-TVDG Attached my dxdiag.txt as well. Same problem here in December 2025. I bought the game a few days ago. I do have multiple USB devices (VR, wheel, pedals, motion etc) which I won't disconnect, since I bought the game for me to use these devices.

What are other solutions? This is really an idiotic bug when "plugging off USB devices" "fixes" a problem with a login!

Ok, since I read some other posts about this bad implemented thing, I disconnected ALL my USB devices except for my Corsair keyboard and my mouse. And I STILL got the error message. What an in credibly badly designed piece of garbage this login procedure is. Guess, I'll try a refund on Steam.

Did get my money back from Steam since I only "played" (i.e. tried to login) for less than two hours. What a bad experience that was with this game. I feel lucky to have gotten out. Never again Codemasters and/or EA for me.
