MyTeam Tyre Allocation resetting (Possible Bug)

Just a quick question, did you use the Hard tyre set during any of the Practice sessions? If yes, what was the most used tyre set during practice?

I can't quite remember off the top of my head which was most used tyre set but I did use the Hard Tyre in practice. 

Earlier in the season however (Japan GP) I selected the Harder allocation and the Medium tyre circled in my screenshot was instead a Hard tyre (as a result of picking the "Harder" allocation") and allocated the Medium to practice instead. This allowed me to take 1x Medium and 2x Hard tyres into the race.

In the screenshot I selected the Harder allocation but for some reason I received the "Balanced Allocation" which is 2x Medium and 1x Hard tyre for the race.

So there is some sort of issue with the Allocating of Tyres when selecting the allocation before the race. Which is not ideal as it is putting me as a strategical disadvantage.

If that makes sense?

EDIT: I have attached 2 screenshots. One showing what the Balanced Allocation looks like, the other showing what the Harder allocation looks like. As you can see the screenshot I added in my Original Post is showing a Balanced Allocation, even though I selected Harder before the race.

EDIT 2: I have just loaded into the Race Weekend for the Austrian GP in my MyTeam (same save). I selected the "Harder Allocation" again but this time I have received the "Softer Allocation". I now only have 1x Medium & 1x Hard for the race??? There is definitely a bug somewhere..

Thanks for the additional details.

I've checked with the team, and the tyre handback system works by automatically returning the most worn tyre sets from Practice. This is based on the relative wear across all the tyres in your allocation, so the tyres that remain available for the Race can change depending on which compounds you use in Practice and how much they're used.

If you're aiming to have 2 Hard tyre sets available for the Race, please try selecting the Harder allocation and avoid using the Hard tyres during Practice. Instead, use the other available compounds and see whether both Hard sets remain available for the Race weekend.

If you still don't end up with 2 Hard tyre sets after doing this, please let us know and we'll pass the information back to the team for further investigation.

So this is the problem. I am selecting the Harder allocation but it isnt giving me the correct allocation! This is what I am trying to say.

I get 6 tyres to use across Practice 1, 2 & 3. All 6 will be eventually returned by the end of Practice 3 in order of most worn, which is what you have explained. The issue is that I am selecting the HARDER allocation before the race but it isnt giving me the Harder Allocation instead it is giving me the Balanced allocation meaning that even if I don't use the Hard Tyre in practice I will still lose it. 

In the Harder allocation, the Hard tyre is reserved for Qualifying instead of Practice, meaning I can use it during the race. This is what the problem is. I am selecting the Harder allocation and the game is giving me the Balanced allocation meaning I cannot carry my Hard tyre over to the race, regardless of if I use it or not.

Like I said before, there is definitely an issue with Tyre Allocations because for my Austrian GP race I selected the harder allocation but have instead been given the Softer allocation. This means for the race I only have the standard 1x Hard, 1x Medium and then a bunch of soft tyres.

I don't think you are fully understanding my issue.

SUMMARY: I am selecting the Harder allocation before the race weekend, but instead am receiving the Balanced allocation meaning that even if I don't use the hard tyre during Practice I will still lose it. The difference between Harder and Balanced is that in Balanced a Medium tyre gets allocated to qualifying to carry over to the race, whereas in the Harder allocation a Hard tyre gets allocated to qualifying to be carried over to the race. Please confirm you understand.

When you're selecting the Harder allocation and you're receiving the Balanced allocation, does the text say Harder or Balanced? We want to clarify if the selection is not saving correctly or if the Harder selection has the incorrect tyres for Monaco?

The text on the Tyre allocation selection menu says "Harder" but when I load into the race weekend I get the wrong allocation. This has happened at multiple tracks, not just monaco.
