Thank you to those who have reported this issue. We’re currently working with our partners at AMD to investigate further.
To help us reproduce and diagnose the problem, we’d really appreciate it if players who are affected could share some additional information about their setup. Specifically, please provide:
- A DxDiag report
- Your report code
- The hardware settings XML files
You can find step‑by‑step instructions on how to gather this information here.
Thank you for your support and understanding. Your reports are incredibly valuable in helping us move this forward.

I am also experiencing this black screen issue, so I would like to provide my symptoms and some technical findings to help with the investigation.
Specific Symptoms:
Menus and UI are visible in the headset, but the screen goes completely black when the 3D environment starts.
The monitor mirror window and head tracking remain functional.
Confirmed Observations:
Driver Boundary: Rolling back to Radeon Driver 25.4.1 fixes the issue. All versions after that are broken.
Cross-Hardware Comparison: I have noticed other users reporting the same issue on the HP Reverb G2, and a friend using a Meta Quest 3S(RX 9060 XT) on the latest drivers does NOT have this issue.
Hypothesis provided by AI (Gemini): I consulted an AI to analyze these patterns, and it provided the following inference: Since the Quest 3S uses video streaming whereas the PSVR2 and G2 rely on a direct DisplayPort connection, the conflict likely lies in the direct DisplayPort output or DSC handling in Radeon drivers newer than 25.4.1 when interacting with the F1 engine's 3D render.
I am sharing this AI inference as it points toward a very specific hardware communication issue. I hope this helps the development team!

Hi EA_cuervo
Here's the requested information.
The report code is TZDJ-JVXZ-CRGS-XHMG
I'm playing on a PSVR2, connected through the official adapter, using a 54 Gbps display port adapter, plugged directly into my graphics card.If you need any further information, please let me know, and thanks again for coordinating all of this and passing the information on!

For some reason the rest of my settings files don't want to upload, even though I've renamed them as text files. I've tried multiple times. Will try again in a few hours. Super weird.
EDIT: still can't seem to upload my hardware setting files for some strange reason. They appear to attach to my posts correctly, but when I click "update" (or "reply" or "post" - I've tried them all), no such luck.
Not sure how helpful they are as various settings haven't seemed to fix the problem for me, but will keep trying. If anyone has had a similar issue and knows how to fix it, please let me know.- EA_cuervo1 month ago
