I decided to create a new Career Mode on EAFC 25. I was about 3–4 weeks into the season when, upon advancing to the next game, the game crashed. I received a “report problem” screen on my PS5 with error code CE-108255-1, and the option to report the incident. No matter what I try, I can’t get past that stage of the Career Mode—it just keeps crashing.
So I started over with a brand-new Career Mode. This time, the crash happened again—around 4–6 weeks into the season...
Troubleshooting steps I’ve tried:
- Created a new Career Mode – still crashes randomly after a few in-game weeks.
- Uninstalled and reinstalled the game – no change.
- PS5 firmware is fully updated
Not sure if this helps - there’s nothing unusual or custom about my Career Mode setup. I know some people create custom faces for managers or players, but I just selected a well-known manager who currently manages a League Two club, and used all basic/default settings.
Just to add: I had a previous Career Mode with a different team where which was created around 4–6 months ago and never ran into this issue. It seems to have started happening after a recent update. I’ve also noticed Career Mode feeling a bit buggy since then, so I’m wondering if the latest update may have introduced this problem.
Can anyone confirm if this is a known issue? I’ve seen similar reports on forums, so I don’t believe I’m the only one experiencing this.
