Field goes all black after opening settings menu at halftime in pro clubs.

Hi there, every single time I go into a pro clubs match and try and look at my settings menu at halftime The entire screen is black and unplayable when the game resumes. I can provide many pictures, I'm not exactly sure what the heck is happening because I'm not changing any settings that would impact visuals. My only choice is to completely close the game and reopen it and take a loss every time.
