Glitchy Career Mode

Not certain if this belongs in the bug forum but in my Manager Career Mode on Xbox1 I just received an email from my board that a player was complaining about his contract.  Only problem with this is I sold that player a month ago in the game, and he is no longer on my roster.

How can I renew a contract of a player I transferred out of my team?
