We've reviewed the pack history and it looks like many opened the Gold TOTY Nominees Starting Pack, which grants Gold 82+ OVR players. That means you cannot pack any special players in those specific packs(no TOTW or TOTY).

Please always check the pack odds/description if you aren't sure.

The pack I opened was an 83+x10 from SBCs. It is definitely a bug.

Mine was from the season pass… I did not even have the Nominees Starting Pack
