Opponent quit in 2nd half, didn't get the win

I thought you’re supposed to be awarded a win now if your opponent quits during the second half? That just happened to me. 90th minute, opponent leading 3–2, passing the ball around. Then he loses connection (his players stopped moving, and after a few seconds the game said the connection to the opponent was lost).

I didn’t get a win. I played a game for 99% of the time and got nothing for it? Worthless time? What happened to the promise that this wouldn’t happen anymore?
