Hello,
I am writing to formally report an issue with a paid Evolution that I purchased using real money (FC Points).
I applied this Evolution to my Simons CAM card, which explicitly included Quick Step+ at the time of purchase and application. After completing the Evolution, EA removed or altered the PlayStyle+ without warning, consent, or compensation.
This is not acceptable.
I paid for this Evolution based on the advertised attributes and PlayStyle+ benefits. At no point was it disclosed that EA could later remove or downgrade a core PlayStyle+ from a paid Evolution after purchase. Removing Quick Step+ fundamentally reduces the value of what I paid for.
To be clear:
- If EA chooses to add another PlayStyle+ (such as Technician+), that is fine
- However, you do not remove or replace what I already paid for
- Any changes to a paid Evolution must be additive, not subtractive
Quick Step+ was part of the advertised product. Removing it due to a later design or balance change that was not disclosed at the time of sale constitutes false advertising and misrepresentation.
Because real money was spent, there must be some form of resolution or compensation, which could include one of the following:
- Restoration of Quick Step+ as originally advertised
- Retaining Quick Step+ and adding another PlayStyle+ if changes are being made
- Granting the same Evolution again so I can apply it to a different card
- Refund of FC Points spent
- Equivalent FC Point or pack compensation
If Evolutions can be altered after purchase in a way that removes advertised features, that must be clearly disclosed before payment, which it was not.
If this issue is not resolved, I will need to consider escalating the matter further, as paid digital content should not be modified after purchase in a way that reduces its value without disclosure or compensation.
Please advise how this will be resolved. Thank You
