Rivals win mishap

I was winning in the game mode rivals, I got the pop up that my opponent had left the game, then I was kicked to the menu and when i loaded back in it said I had disconnected and there will be a punishment if its a common issue. Then i loaded back into rivals and it counted as a lost and I lost my multiplier.
