Players switch positions at kickoff despite correct custom tactics

I’m experiencing a bug in Ultimate Team when editing my tactics through Team Management.

Whenever I change the position of a player by swapping them with another player, the changes appear correctly while I’m editing the tactic. However, after I save the tactic, the position changes are not actually saved.

When I leave Team Management and return to the tactic, the players have reverted to their original positions. This happens consistently, regardless of which players I move or which positions I change.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Go to Ultimate Team → Team Management → Tactics.
2. Select any tactic and edit the formation/positions.
3. Swap the positions of two players.
4. Save the tactic.
5. Exit and return to the same tactic.
6. The players have returned to their previous positions.

Temporary workaround:
I have tried saving the tactic again and exiting/re-entering Team Management, but the position changes still revert to the original positions. At the moment, I have not found a reliable workaround that makes the changes persist.

Please investigate this issue, as it prevents me from properly saving and using custom tactics.

Everytime I go into a game, all my players play in the wrong postion. For example my 83 bouaddi was playing rm even though he was placed at cm before the game. Is this happening to anyone else?

When I join a match in squad battles, 6 of my players swap positions in game and I have to change them back once I’ve kicked off

Playing FC27 and its got bugs all across the game. But the one that frustrates me is tactics menu is totally screwed up. I tried to create a tactic first and it never saved. It reverted back to default. Spent 15 mins changing player roles and other settings and it just did not save. Luckily I got a custom tactic saved, but now when I click edit tactic, it goes to default tactic . Its so irritating and frustrating aghhhh...been loosing all games due to this.

My Alternative Tactics are not saving player positions correctly.
After saving and leaving Ultimate Team, the player positions change automatically, even before entering a match.
 I have tried recreating the tactics and using the Companion App, but the issue still occurs.

If I switch to my second tactic on the screen before a match starts, when the game starts all my players have swapped positions around. I tried checking before starting the match and everyone was in the correct position but when the match started they had all moved around.

I am experiencing a persistent custom tactics/formation bug.

When I correctly set up my starting XI and save my tactics, the positions initially appear correct.

However, as soon as I edit another saved tactic — even before playing a match — the player positions in my tactics can change/scramble automatically.

For example, players I have manually assigned to CM/CB/LB/etc. can suddenly appear in different positions in another tactic despite me not changing those players.

I can correct the positions again, but editing another tactic causes the problem to return.

The issue can also persist/reappear after playing a match.

This makes it impossible to reliably maintain multiple custom tactics.

When I modify a tactic does not save, even when it seems saved I enter a match and all the positions are wrong even in the starting module. All the other module, even after changing are not saving.  I also find the game laggy

I’m experiencing a frustrating issue with my squad formation in EA SPORTS FC 27.

I carefully set up my starting XI and make sure every player is positioned correctly. However, when I start a match, the game automatically changes the positions of two players — specifically, my RM and CAM are swapped.

As you can see in the screenshots:

Before starting the match, my formation is correctly set up.

The CAM is positioned centrally, while the RM is on the right side.

However, once the match starts, the game changes their positions and puts the RM in the CAM position and the CAM on the right side.

This happens even though I did not make this change myself.

The only way I can fix it is to pause the match, open the tactics menu, and manually correct the positions after the match has already started.

This is particularly frustrating because I have already configured my formation and player positions before starting the match. The game should preserve these settings instead of automatically changing them.

Steps to reproduce:

Set up the squad in a 4-4-1-1 (2) formation.

Assign the players to their intended positions, including RM and CAM.

Start a match.

Once the match begins, check the player positions.

The RM and CAM positions have been swapped.

Expected behavior:

The players should remain in the exact positions I configured before starting the match.

Actual behavior:

The RM and CAM positions are automatically swapped when the match starts.

I’m not sure whether this is related to player roles, tactical instructions, or the new FC 27 formation system, but it happens without me making any changes.

Hopefully, this can be investigated because having to manually fix the formation at the beginning of every match is extremely frustrating.
