It has been happening ever since hybrid controls were brought back in NHL 24. It doesn't matter what grip you use. This always happens, or there is at least some chance of it happening when you switch players after a lost face-off.

I don't use stick tie-up. Otherwise, I get a interference penalty even when I have it set to 0 in the sliders.

What mode is this happening in? Also, I assume you're the Blue Jackets or are you playing against a friend who is taking the penalty?
I spend the most time in Play Now either by myself or with friends, where this bug happens regularly, or in Be a Pro, but I haven't had that kind of problem there. In the video, I was playing for the Blue Jackets.
