Co-op Challenges Broken

Every Time i try to start a co-op challenge my game gets locked, not letting me open the menu and it doesnt even start the challenge. i have been trying to do the mission "It Takes 2-4" for about a week now and i have not been able to complete it due to this bug. there should be an option to either skip this mission or remove it until the problem is solved.
