Editor is Exporting Videos @ 1.5x Speed with Season 5 Update

Started happening with the Season 5 update.

I've attached a handful of videos. Editor.mp4 is a screencapture showing exactly what happens during an actual short session of editing and exporting a video, where it remains normal speed until Skate exports it and you see it visibly faster.

When you press export, you see the countdown timer - 3, 2, 1. During which the video starts playing.

At the point 1 hits, the video starts over where Skate starts recording and the video is playing around 1.5 to 2x faster than the original intented speed.

Clips that should be 10 seconds long, come out around 5-6 seconds long due to this.

The other videos attached are short example clips that are visibly too fast.

I can't seem to export a single video without this issue.

This is on PC.

Specs are i9-13900K, 64 GB RAM, RTX 4090.
DxDiag included for reference.

Just updated the original post with additional videos.

Also I realised my drivers were out of date, and updated them.

The issue is still present. viodeo 2026-09-08_21-04-20 is recorded on the latest nvidia drivers and still has the issue where the exported video is only 14 seconds long and sped up, because the game sped up the clip part during export. Despite actually being a 23 second long video

Ok I can confirm this is a bug and I know how to resolve it in the game.

The issue occurs if you have the following in settings:
Target Render Frame Rate: 240 fps.

The video export, only has a maximum export FPS of 60.

For some reason, with season 5, that screws up the export speed entirely.

Capping the game's FPS to 60 FPS, and setting the Video Export FPS to match, returns an almost perfect length of video (it was still about 1-2 seconds short of the 1:00 video i exported, but it was close enough).

Can confirm this happens on AMD systems as well, most up-to-date drivers.

  • Can confirm, same problem, Nvidia and Intel, so it's not an AMD thing at all. No AMD in my build.

I just exported the same clip on every available resolution, 360p through 1440p are all bugged and play back at ~1.5x speed but 2160p export resolution has the correct playback speed.

  • its happening to me too, but its inconsistent not every single time.  im on PC using nvidia

  • Wait... So, we have to play the game at 60fps, and it still isn't synced perfectly? Dang.
