Error Codes 1940161423 and 3308673633

I can reach the main menu screen when starting the game, but after hitting "Start" it briefly shows "Configuring" and then one of two errors, usually alternating:

  • 1940161423 "Matchmaking was cancelled"
  • 3308673633 "Sorry, an internal error has occurred"

I've tried reinstalling and clearing AppData\Local\Skate, but still no change.

I'm running skate. on PC via Steam. My Steam and EA accounts are linked.

I had briefly installed skate. via EA App, but quit out before entering the actual game. I did reach the front of the queue there, though. No queue on Steam so far, just the errors.

    I moved your message to a different thread, as you are reporting the specific error message and code discussed here. 

    What platform do you play on?
    Is this the only error code you see when you try to log in? 

    In the meantime, please check our guide to confirm the EA account email address; you might be resetting the password of a secondary EA account.

    If you play on Steam, this suggestion in the thread seems to have helped other players get past this error.

    Let us know if these work out for you as well.

    so it let me log on to my account to post this, but every time i try to log on in skate it tells me to change my password. I did this like ten times, every time I go back to log in it goves me an error code every single time. 

    It says ERROR - error code 3308673633

    That worked for me as well, thank you so much for sharing the solution!

    Since I prefer not to have the overlay on, I hope the developers can find a way to either communicate this requirement (and if it's just needed for first launch) or find a workaround to link accounts without the overlay (maybe just by opening it in the browser).

  • I had the same issue on my desktop PC, which was puzzling me all day because the game worked on my laptop. Here's what fixed the issue for me:

    1) Go to "Steam" menu (top left side) and select "Settings"
    2) Go to the "In Game" tab (on the left)
    3) Make sure "Enable the Steam Overlay while in-game" is active

    After you hit "A" on your controller to start the game for the first time, you should now get a log-in window instead of error Code 1940161423 or 3308673633. Hopefully it works for you!

  • I've tried all day for several hours and still no go.

    I downloaded the EA launcher an hour ago and was able to play just fine. Just getting disconnected every now and then but was a lot farther than I got with Steam.

    My guess is it is an account linking issue as I googled the error code and only found 1 video on the matter but they were getting the error code on a PS5. But I tried their advice below:

    I unlinked ALL my accounts, even changed my EA ID and email on the account to a different name and changed the password.  Then I relinked my Steam account and tried it again and it still won't let me connect on Steam. 

    I use Steam for all my games so I hope someone at EA can help us with this issue. I don't need the game installed twice on 2 launchers.

  • Same exact error codes for me on PC/Steam.  Never used EA launcher or anything.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated. Can't even get to the que or anything. Just flat out won't connect to the game because of said error codes.
