Game crashes after a few seconds

It's been going on for days now and numerous people reported it either here or in the subreddit. I'm playing on PC, when I start the game and start playing, I can do that for a few seconds before the game crashes and closes without an error message. Quite frustrating as I'm away from home and was planning on participating in the seasonal events in the evenings, but it's literally impossible to play this way...

Tried launching the game both from the EA app and Steam. No success in any of the cases.
