After this update, the game is unplayable on PS4. The textures take an eternity to load and the framerate is always dropping hard. It's so bad that the game usually feels like it's in slow motion. The Isle of Grom is the only thing that's playable for me now.
It's the same on Xbox One.
Even today, several days after the Season 04 update, I still can't connect properly, and I keep getting a message saying I've been kicked from the server. On the rare occasions when I do manage to connect, the game inevitably freezes after 2–3 minutes, sending me back to the loading screen and back to the point where I get kicked from the server. This cycle repeats endlessly for over an hour. It's impossible to play properly.
Textures are constantly delayed as well. Even in simple areas where everyone else lands easily, the surface patterns (like wood grain) don’t appear and the ground remains plain. The patterns only show up a few seconds after I’ve failed to land—and I’m the only one who can’t land at all. The lag is absolutely terrible.
What on earth was the Season 04 update? It’s just too terrible.
Same for me. Its almost unplayable, textures are taking much longer to load, and the lag/fps is the worst it has ever been. I hope they can fix this.
