It seems that with a change to the terms and service of the webstore the game will not allow you to sign in with EA Connect.
However here is a workaround for this and that is to simply login to the webstore and then you can go login to your EA Account like usual

Make sure you are using the email linked to your account.
This issue seems to only happen if your account hasn’t been logged into since some change to the webstore. One of the bot devs said it was a TOS change but I don’t know for sure. If your auth session has expired on something like the PC client, it will not create a new one, even with the correct email. After logging into the webstore it allows you to make a new auth session. I haven’t been able to in depth test this so I can’t tell for 100% certainty if it’s every account or what, but I made this because it had happened to 3 different people.

Can be related to a deactivated EA Account. It is possible to reactivate an account by resetting the password.
