The kids’ camp worked fine for me, but I just tried having some Sims host a getaway at their home and had this problem.
Edit: I’ve tried a few more getaways and so far they work when I plan them on other lots, but not when I plan them on my Sim’s own lot. Which is a bummer, I was hoping I could have a Sim make money doing it.
