As a follow up to specifically the Apothecary Table: they start then bug out and stand there for a bit still. Now with R&L this bug happens also on the home lot. So this is not AA/R&L exclusive, it is the specific autonomy with apothecary table (EnB).

Basically, when Sims autonomously Craft/Study Apothecary Cures the just stand there/bug out, but they are learning just not doing the animations. But they will/can clean up after done (but sometimes leave it and has to be discarded).

The Seance Table and Cauldron seem to work now (for me), but now Sims obsess over the Seance Table autonomously (R&L Mysterious Ideals), and it continuously gets interrupted (with both AA and R&L). [PSP] [AA] [RL] Constant 'Seance interrupted' notices with ideals/Custom Venue | EA Forums - 13210421.
