After the September update I noticed an increase in actions dropping from my sims queue.
I set an action and my sim might start to follow through then it disappears and they just stand there.
If I set multiple actions for a sim, then go to another household member the actions from the first sim frequently disappear too. A lot of the time these actions seem to be related to socialising or infant care but not exclusive to.
Actions I set can also be ignored while a sim performs their own action and there is no way to cancel it or even know what they are intending to do until they do it.
I use minimal mods but always remove them completely from my game before updating and repair my game after. I also open a new save while waiting for my mods to be cleared and test to how things are running. The issue I've reported here happened in a vanilla save and are still happening now I've returned my mods to the game.
I've tested in a fresh vanilla save and in a played save.
Could you guys confirm if the interactions are actually dropped or stay in the queue and are not done ?

Hi! Sometimes the question just drops off and then sometimes it stays with the X through it. Or the que stays at the top and the Sim stops moving for atleast a minute. Thank you for any help!!

It's neither of these. I think it is mainly social interactions actually being dropped, but also just object actions being ignored when qued. It's like the first social interaction qued will "x" out and drop when you put in another social que. It's hard to tell if that first interaction is actually played out. I think the interaction is being shortened and not fully completed so that the next qued action can be completed. It seems like once you que multiple actions, more than 2, the conversation will keep going and only drop the first social interaction que. This seemed more evident with multiple sims joining in a conversation or trying the played sim trying to talk to multiple people or it may be when more than 1 sim don't know each other in a group setting. The played sim will just talk to 1 person at a time and drop qued interactions. As far as object interactions qued by the player, I've noticed qued actions being ignored more than usual. A lot of excessive autonomy actions have appeared which were successfully dialed back before, i.e. tea brewer, yoga mat. I'm still trying to play in order to get a full picture of what's going on.

That sounds like this one: Sims in conversation frequently skip queued interactions | EA Forums - 13743576 ?
Sounds like your seeing multiple issues.

Just checked the other report and I agree it is part of what I am experiencing but not the only issue. For me it isn't just socialising, any action I set is often dropped or ignored - sometimes when I queue up actions, other times it can be one action that the sim refuses to do. It doesn't seem to drop and engage.
It is particularly bad when dealing with babies, infants and toddlers. Before this patch infant care was working beautifully but it's part of the problem I am experiencing now - but not exclusively.
I will play a bit more too and see if I can pin point a pattern. Thank you for looking into this so thoroughly.

They fully drop for me.
There are other issues since the latest update too.
- Cannot upgrade any type of item even with a surplus of upgrade parts in Sim's inventory.
- Cannot create family recipes.
