I have the following problem, when my sim travels to the community lot and goes to CAS via a mirror or a wardrobe, when CAS is closed the game loads not the community lot but the household of that family.
Steps to reproduce:
- Clean Sim 4 folder, no mods
- Start a new game
- Download a family from the gallery
- Select a residential lot and load it
- Select one sim and go to any community lot
- Go to CAS via a mirror or a wardrobe
- Exist CAS
- See that residential lot is loaded instead of the community lot where a sim entered CAS
Expected result: after exiting CAS a sim stays on the same community lot. Once the issue happens it will persist in all families.
If a create a new sim4 folder, no previous saves and start a new family (not from the gallery) then it works. If I start with a family from the gallery first then any family created afterwards will be affected by this bug.
I repaired the game, created a new sims 4 folder with no mods, previous saves, etc. Totally new and clean save.

there's several similar reports for this. The issue is that the game loads back into with a different Sim.
In your case, the game loads into the Child which showed first in CAS.
Could you test
- Does the same happen if you travel with the child somewhere instead of the adult ?
- Does the same happen if you travel with the whole family
- Does this happen with Sims that only have one household member ?
Thanks a lot for your feedback. So, I've just tested
- Child travelling alone - no issues
- Whole family - they stayed on the same lot, however the child appeared somewhere on the edge of the lot with a camera being focused on a child instead of the sim who initiated CAS.
My family visited gym, not the park, so it's a bit hard to say.
3. One sim household - no issues.
I also tested one more household: one adult, one teen and one dog. The issue is reproducible.
Also 2 adults and no kids or teens are fine too.

The same happens to me when I have a household with more than one sim.
Have one sim travel somewhere. Enter CAS through shift-clicking. It gives the same result. It’s usually public lots.
