All Shiny CAS items lost shine (lower graphics settings)

All CAS items that should have a shine or sparkle to them are not working. The new glossy skin effect added in with latest update as an accessory do not show in CAS or in game. All lipsticks that should be glossy are matte, all of the bedazzled dresses from vintage pack are broken/missing their sparkle. All CAS eyes and teeth are now unlocked for all sims. All new Werewolves made or edited in CAS are missing the color options for their nose/ears, all nose/ears for the Werewolves are just fur colored.

    I've merged this with the shiny not showing on lower graphics as it's along the same line

    My guess is that it's by design for performance reasons.

    playing on my pc 

    This is a photo of a sim with nothing on and only the shiny overlay on, but it's not doing anything to the sim's texture.

    When I've gone into create a sim, the shiny skin overlay doesn't work with MCCC on and with it off, which is super disappointing. It does nothing, even when the sim has nothing on or is an entirely blank canvas.
