Almost Weekly Death Notices

While playing, I got 6 phone calls in rapid succession telling me that different Elder Sims had died that were outside of my household. It happened while my sims were sleeping and time was going at triple-speed. I do not have any script mods installed. I noticed this happened in a recent Deligracy video too where multiple Elder Sims died one right after another (I believe there were 4 in total in the video).

Were they supposed to die ? It's very possible that they all die together as many have the same age.

Depending on how many Sims you have, it's entirely possible that those are legit death.

While it's possible that they were all meant to die, I've just never had 6 die in rapid succession like that since that glitch a few years ago before Growing Together came out that caused all of the elders to die at once.

There still is a known issue but that's for active Sims.

Did it happen more than once ? Do you have a backup you could check the Sims on if they were supposed to die ?

I just reloaded the save and they all died again at the same time. I guess it was just their time to go. Oh well.

Since the most recent update, my sims are getting multiple calls every day about friends/acquaintances dying and it's making all my sims constantly upset!

I read it, but it’s not just elder sims that are dying. Regular adult sims and I believe I’ve seen at least one teen die as well and it’s every time I play now

In answer to your questions:

• I honestly don't know if those sims actually die, as they are barely acquaintances with my sim; certainly not townie sims she regularly interacts with at her business. (My best guess is they are sims she meets briefly in group convos at events.)
• I don't really pay attention to the little 'eulogy' notices that accompany the death notices.
• And yes, I do have the neighborhood stories activated. But I also have the auto aging turned off for sims outside of the household I currently play at a given time. (So, while the occasional death notice is to be expected, pretty much on a weekly or bi-weekly basis is really overkill. Pun totally intended.
