I have a problem with the aspirations - there are several aspirations that are no longer playable because the tasks just won't complete, no matter how many times I try.

Is this with or without mods/cc ? What platform are you playing on ?

Please also specifics which ones you have issues with. Generally a separate thread for each aspiration is needed but since you have a few, it would be helpful if you could name a few.

Sorry, this is my first time posting.
So, I'm playing with the EA App, just like the rest of my family (3 people), and we all have the same problem, even though we play on different PCs. (We all have every expansion installed)
I usually play with one mod and a few CC, but because of the bug(s), I removed them to test if the issues persist without them. I even started a brand-new game without any mods or CC, and I still had the issue. Also, someone in my family, who has never played with mods or CC at all, is experiencing the same problems.
If I'm not mistaken, most of the issues started after the Life and Death expansion. I'm not sure if that's relevant, but I thought I'd mention it.
As for the aspirations, I don't remember all of them exactly right now, but they all have one thing in common: they involve counting something. For example: creating a certain number of masterpieces, becoming friends with others (especially the aspiration with the children), evolving plants, etc. And then there are aspirations like the ones with children, where you have to sleep in a treehouse - it just doesn't register.
The aspirations Perfectly Pristine and Filthy Fabulous also don't progress when dealing with floors.
This was never really a big issue before - we would just do what was required, and if it didn't register, we used the cheat. That worked fine since the result was the same. But now, that doesn't work anymore either. :)
(I hope I’ve mentioned everything important. I would also mention the technical data and the PCs we use, but I’m not familiar with these things—hopefully, they’re not too relevant.)

so yeah, this sounds like specific issues with specific aspirations which need one thread per aspiration you have issues with.
The treehouse for example has a thread here: [NEEDS SAVES] [GRO] Sleep in Treehouse for 6 hours doesn't fulfill | EA Forums - 11595996 and EA is looking for saves for this one. It's in the archive so you can't post there but it's still being looked into
Filthy Fabulous has all kinds of reports.
For the counting ones, you need to do them after you get the aspiration task and sometimes the counter doesn't count up until you travel. So try travelling after you done that.
The cheat not working is a bit odd. Is that generally or just for those task that don't fulfill ?

ok, thanks a lot for the tip - we'll try that then.
We took the time to test the cheat on all aspirations, and unfortunately, it doesn't work anywhere.
When you enter the cheat (testingcheats true -> aspirations.complete_current_milestone), you get to the next stage, and the sound plays as if you had completed it. But when you check, the tasks don't appear as completed (same for the stage) - the checkmarks are missing and it didn't turn yellow; it just stays the same as before, as if you hadn't done it.
It's very helpful if the cheat works fine, as there may be situations where you either can't complete the aspirations (because you run into problems) or where you might not want to complete them fully, as the tasks may not perfectly fit the gameplay experience you're having at that moment.

Gave the cheat a try in my game and the aspirations milestones completed as expected. Did you try travelling ?
Did you also test another save game/household ?
The same thing is happening to me and I just downloaded the life and death expansion
