This happened in my save as well. High school sweethearts, aged up at the same party and then moved out together to go to college. They're flirting and having a good time and out of NOWHERE they start fighting?? I use a handful of mods but none of them tweak interactions.

I'm not sure what it is, I haven't downloaded any new packs and I'm on Xbox. But I get on, make some sims who are partners and move them in, after making my house in the cottage town they automatically start fighting. I tried apologizing and fixing it but they kept arguing and wouldn't stop. So I remade and moved them to the pets lots and their 'happiness" went down fast, argued a lot, their relationship kept going down, and in the span of 2 sim days they fought again. I'm not sure what is happening, I checked everything, the neighborhood thing and everything and they just keep wanting to fight.

Ever since the September update, one of my Sims (with no negative traits) suddenly started autonomously being mean and picking fights. No other Sims are affected — just him.
What’s strange is he has a magical clone with the same traits who behaves perfectly fine.
I checked his Parenthood Character Values by temporarily aging him back to a Teen, and both his Responsibility and Conflict Resolution were deep in the red. So it seems hidden Character Values are still decaying in the background after aging up, and this might be triggering the violent behavior.
If that’s intentional… it’s chaotic but very funny.

Same for me. I never noticed the previous bug with mean actions but ever since the second most recent update my Sims who are on dates or friends have been autonomously brawling and tanking the relationships to all red. It also seems weird that when you first click on a Sim to socialize the majority of choices that come up are negative. I have to word extra hard to keep socializing positive things, and if I leave them along to do something with another Sim I risk them fighting. I don't have any mods or CC and I have all the packs. PC Windows 11.

I'm having the same issue; I believe it only started for me with the second most recent update. Autonomous mean reactions and fights are happening between Sims with no Mean/Evil trait and without the roughhousing NAP; it has happened across multiple neighbourhoods, during and outside of events. Very frustrating, almost making the game unplayable at times e.g. when trying to build new friendships or romantic relationships. Particularly annoying as Sims will then have negative Sentiments towards each other.
- Platform: PC (Windows 10)
- No mods/CC
- Have sent a save file
[edited to add: just checked and I hadn't realised one of the neighbourhoods does have the roughhousing NAP which accounts for some but not all fights/mean interactions. I still feel like this is an issue; maybe fights in neighbourhoods with this NAP shouldn't have the same negative consequences as fights elsewhere?]
Do you own Eco Lifestyle? If you do, check to see if you have Roughhousing Encouraged NAP enacted as this can cause this to happen.

ALL of my Sims are fighting. They will love each other one moment and the next second they are having a fist fight. Started after I bought the SpongeBob packs.

I am encountering this problem at the moment, to the point where I just had to give up playing. My Sims can be talking normally with each other, and suddenly they just start to fight. Got a nice big family with a bunch of people who now despises each other.
They also seem keen on throwing insults and yelling at each other for no reason, no matter how good friends they are. Playing on console, so no mods. I assume it's one of the latest patches playing around.
