Since the latest update on console - none of my Sims can grab a serving from a family meal, from the counter or from the fridge. This includes Grand Meals.

Hiya, no they don't. It was literally fine until the new update and now they just glitch and reset whenever I get them to take a serving from a meal. Tried a grand meal, normal family meal and a gourmet meal and it's all the same
Also it's happening with all my Sims, from toddler to elder
Could you test another family ? Def sounds like the same issue the perk has. Maybe there's other triggers.
Made a new sim in the same save file and there was no issues. Checked all my Sims in my legacy family and no one has the secret spice perk. Only one Sim has perks and they are: skillful sleep and in the zone.
It appears to be linked to my sim with in the zone - if he makes food everyone glitches out. If anyone else makes food, it's fine. One of my other Sims also has skillful sleep and there is no glitch
Seems like there's more than one mastery perk that's causing this.
Put this on review for now but this might be merged later on.
Just recently got the Businesses and Hobbies expansion pack, have been having this issue mainly with impeccable desserts. Better Exceptions mod flags it as shown below. My sim does have that In the Zone perk, if it helps. Thought it was mod related, so removed all gameplay and script mods to no avail.

I’m also having this issue, it’s a new family moved to a lot placed from the gallery from a creator who rarely has any issues with his builds. I had my level 10 sim cook a family meal and call to meal. When she did that she was unable to pick up a plate and did a half t pose. I got members of the family to try and grab a plate and they were unsuccessful also doing the same half t pose. I got the teen sim to order a pizza and at first they were very slow to respond to the grab a slice. They eventually did and my other sim hired a caterer so any dishes made I put in the fridge eventually they were able to grab food the fridge but actions were very delayed and sometimes I had to reset that sim. I play on console so no mods here. I have the series X Xbox and don’t usually have such delays with movement very often and have used the perks before on a different family which was prior to last update so I don’t know the performance issues caused the lag in game play which then impacts your ability to enjoy the game.
