[BH] Getting custom tattoo switches to Sim/Households

I tested this in my business and I had no switching. Where exactly are you giving the tattoo ? I haven't tried out all the Meetups so I'm a bit unsure what you mean by Hobbies & Skills.

A different sim being selected has been the case ever Sims they added the wardrobes in GT. There was a fix at some point but I think it was never fully fixed.

There's a thread somewhere. Adjusted the title to the tattoo problem although it's an issue with other things too. Anything involving CAS when not all household members are on the same lot.

Guess I tested the wrong thing although I'm unsure about it actually switching households

I experienced the same, in my case without a Small Business.

I put a tattoo table in a park, let Cassandra Goth hire a tattoo artist and after CAS closed I was reloaded in the Goth family home as Mortimer.

Hicrinrict I noticed the issue first started after patch 1.113.277.1030.

I was able to recreate the issue in a fresh save. I had my Sim (on the home lot) offer to give a custom tattoo to another Sim for a different played household. After I made my selections and exited CAS, Live Mode switched active households to the Sim that received the tattoo.

After further testing, I noticed the Sim switching issue occurs coming out of CAS in general. Within a played household than has multiple Sims, Live Mode will switch to the first Sim, even if that Sim is on a different lot. This issue had not occurred for me prior to patch 1.113.277.1030.

Maybe the did fix that bug then and reintroduce it ? Now I need to go look for that thread again.

I wasn't able to duplicate it with giving a tattoo to an NPC but it wasn't a played household so maybe that's the difference ?

EDIT: Found the thread from 10 years ago: [FIXED] Using CAS on lot resets to different lot | EA Forums - 11271278 that was specifically for the walk in closet: I think it was still happening after that.

Tested and confirmed. The bug occurs when giving a custom tattoo to a Sim in a Played Household but does not occur when giving a custom tattoo to a Sim in an Unplayed Household.

As for the general CAS reset, it appears to occur with the aforementioned tattoo issue as well as any form I use to enter "Change Sim" CAS. When entering "Plan Outfit" CAS it occurs whenever there are multiple selectable sims (i.e. with dressers and mirrors, but with the not with the walk-in closet). Thanks!

Exact same thing. 
I opened a home business and had a tattoo table, had Mortimer as a customer so i decided to write Bella on his chest with hearts around it, and as I clicked finish, it loads the goth household in a totally different neighborhood! When I switched back, my home business closed for the day too, but I had like 10 sims in my house from the business being open, so it glitched out, I had to force each sim to leave. It was a bad day, I no longer offer tattoos lol 
worst part is I tattooed Mortimer and wrote Bella in bubble letters. And left unshaded hearts; I was planning on doing a touch up tattoo for roleplaying purposes and adding color to it then, but for now, he will have the black and white outline only lol

I'm not sure if my case is the same:

1. I go with my active Sim (who has 4 more other Sims in my household living in Henford, but is NOT traveling with them) to the pre-build neon tattoo place in Nordhaven as a customer.
2. My Sim pays entrance and asks Nia for a "custom tattoo"
3. I land in CAS, choose a tattoo from gallery and accept
4. Now I'm suddenly not in the tattoo shop anymore, but my active Sim's husband who is in the same household got loaded in Henford in their home. => Instead of this I'm expecting the wife in nordhaven should have been loaded and continueing the experience in the small business as a customer
5. If i now select on the profile of the wife to switch back to the Sim who is in nordhaven, my Sim is not anymore a customer but seems like being loaded back as a guest of the household, and I have to load out of the lot again, then back in again to visit the business instead, and pay again entrance, just to complete the tattoo experience. => That doesn't feel imersive, wish it would have just loaded me back to the Sim who got the tattoo as customer
