Book Of Life doesn't summon or resurrect

I'm trying the Book of Life for the first time, so I'm not 100% sure how it's supposed to work. I assume the sims is supposed to come back to life. I gave it to my deceased vampire (the book is tied to him) and there was an option to restore life. After I clicked it he read a little then put the book away, twisted a little and the activity icon said "resurrect", but nothing happened.

    I currently have no other available test subjects. I do have another book written, but it apparently can't be tied to a sim who is already a ghost. I'll add to this report if an opportunity to test it appears.

    Instead I tried the trick mentioned in the older report. I put my vampire sim in a basement with no stairs and no strorage items. He used the restore life option and now the resurrection worked! Seems the problem is indeed with storage items on the lot. The older report might not have been popular because this is a very niche interaction, at least that's how I feel about it.
