Burglar: Recovered Stolen Objects Not Returned to Inventory

to be sure, you checked your household inventory and they were still gone in the house ?

crinrict​ , yes. The household inventory was the first place I checked, then the personal inventory just in case (which didn't seem possible because the burglar stole three dew collectors).

This happened to me twice, with a hot tub and a dollhouse respectively. Fought the burglar and won but items were nowhere to be found although the notification said they had been returned. 

I'm fairly new to the game, only been playing for a few months, but recently my Sim was burgled, and after successfully fighting them off, I noticed two items disappeared and have not returned.  They're not in my inventory where in other games they have been found.  I have restarted the game a few times, and rebooted my Mac.  Any help is appreciated. 

Did you get the notification that they had been returned? If you did get it,did you check the household inventory, as well as your personal inventory? 

I noticed that if a burglar comes to a apartment in city living they steal things in the common area that not replaced.

I didn't see the notification, but the items are not in either inventory.  I have no mods or packs or anything.  I Googled it and results said it could be a bug.  Thanks for the reply though!
