infants are now completely broken as of last game patch.... please fix, EA.... I cannot play the game the way I like right now, and it makes me very sad

There is currently a bug where you need to introduce the parents to the infant before they actually get interactions showing.
Knowing what interactions you have in the friendly menu can help finding out if that's the issue you are facing or not.
Did you test a new save for testing purposes to see if you have the same issue there ? I can't duplicate this game.
OMG.... I think that's actually the issue.... when I click on the option to introduce baby to the caretakers it says something along the lines of "you haven't met the caretakers of this baby yet. Where are they anyway?"
and in response to your question: this is actually a fairly new save, started it this past weekend
