I have 7 sims (4 sims and 3 pets) and my game tells me i can't try for a baby because my household is full. It has been a problem for a couple of weeks, nothing changed with the new update.

Hi, I currently have 7 sims (5 sims and a dog and a cat) in my household and I want to let my cat have a kitten but it says that my household is too big... I checked multiple times, no one is pregnant so I think it's a bug. Anyone else having the same problem?

Says I can’t adopt or try for a new baby because my household is too big. Been like this for a few months. Only have 7 sims
Looks like there’s already an “under investigation” bug report here if you want to upvote it:

We fixed a situation where it looked like you couldn’t have more than 7 Sims in a Household. This was because the Household had an empty Sim slot “reserved” for an “Adopt a Cat” story arc that the player couldn’t know was happening in the background. This story arc will now just wait until there is an available household slot and not prevent the addition of new members to the Household in the meantime.
Fixed in Patch 1.120.117/ 2.25
