I've been having this problem also, as well as my sims just getting stuck doing actions. I have to save the game and re-start to unstick them. It seems every time EA releases a new patch fixing old bugs, twice as many new bugs appear. Maybe you should properly test patches before releasing them??? I don't ever install third party mods or content so when I pay EA for a product I expect it not to be flawed!!!
