[CD] [GTW] Retail worker/vets don't spawn for business as customer/Can't buy

I created a mall in the sims 4, just a mini one with a restaurant. And none of the cashiers, or employees showed up and no patrons. I made it at retail lot and then changed it to just a general community lot but it doesn’t work. A lot of missing gameplay here with this issue. I’m hoping this gets fixed in next update. Unless I’m not doing something right but in the past when I assigned a lot as a community lot of any kind, if there was dining and cash registers, they were there and there was other patrons shopping or dining.

  • You're trying to have your pet examined but when you get to the vet clinic, there's no employees there
  • You want to visit a retail lot as a customer but you can't buy anything
  • You want to visit a retail lot as a customer but there's no vendors present.

Please use this thread for the issues listed above even if you think it's a new issue with patch 1113. This issue slowly escalated the past few patches and there have been reports for unowned businesses before this patch.

    Are you using mods/cc ? Three are a few issues with service npcs not spawning though restaurants should work.

    Retail has issues if you an NPCs own the retail lot but if it's your own or if you just visit an unowned one (never owned) they also work for me.

    Do the game ones work ?

    I am currently not using any Mods or CC and this place I created no NPC or sims own themselves. And yes the ones already in the game work. I figured it must not be an issue for a lot of players because I’m surprised nobody else is having an issue with this. Maybe I ll try redownloading the game and see if that works? I don’t know. Thanks for responding.

    Would you mind uploading your lot to the gallery and posting the name here ? I'll check it out if I can duplicate the issue for the lot.

    Could be something about the lot itself.

    Yeah it’s called “ROCKSIDE MALL” By: brenjay91. Description is: Old School Type Mall.  The lot type is: Retail. 

    thank you for checking that’s nice of you. If you notice a reason why it’s not working I’d appreciate you responding what you think it is.

    So I tried your lot. Restaurant is working fine for me. Retail not so much but I think it has something to do with the known bug. There seems to be some criteria why some of them not work.

    Thank you I appreciate you trying it out. Yeah at least the restaurant is working for you, none of it is showing up for me. But maybe I ll retry it later today and see if it works. But I’ve been thinking it must be a bug, but I’m surprised nobody else has mentioned it yet when they have built community lots, either way whatever it is I hope it gets fixed or I figure out how to make it work.
