[CD] [HR] Disappearances of Pets and Horses in Premade Households

After the update on the 19th of August of 2025 the npc horses fail to spawn with their npc household members. For examble Sienna and Flapjack. While the horse does appear on the thumbnail picture in gallery, it does not apper when I hover over their house. Also when i enter the house the horse is not there. Same thing happens with the rest of the NPCs in Horse Ranch that have horses. When I go in cas to create a sim and a horse I do not have any issues and the horse spawns normally with them when I place them into a lot. I removed all my CCs and mods, I repeired the game and even started a new game ( three times so far) and the problem still exists. It just seems like the issues is with the npc horse that fail to spawn with their household members. I do not want to deactivate the Horse Ranch patch. It is not an option. I just feel tired from the bugs that come up with every update that you put out there. I play on PC

I play vanilla on PC and haven't ever used mods or cc.  I took a look at this today because right after the patch I had switched to the save where I am playing in Chestnut Ridge. 

I can't replicate this issue.  Flapjack's image is present when I hover over the house, and the horse is on the lot when I visit it.  All I can think to suggest is to test in a new user folder to see if the issue persists.

Edited to Clarify that my results were obtained playing in an existing pre-patch save, not a new save like so many are reporting in this thread.  I haven't started a fresh save since patching, nor have I run a game repair since August 10th.   

I am seeing this, too. I was trying to move in Mayor Whiskers from the manage households, but he does not load, so I can't move him. The animals show up in the household photo, but not when you go to the split and move menu. 

Photos to show what I mean. This is every household with a cat or dog or horse. However, the households I had put in the game with horses, they show up, even in that menu. But premade ones, nope. I don't know if that's true for cats and/or dogs, because none of these households had any. This is a brand new save, too. I've been adding households and builds for them, but haven't actually done any gameplay yet. 

Also experiencing the same issue, tried repairing the game with a fresh save and it didn't work. Can't start a new save with animals for now. 

Same problem. Updated, repaired game. No Mods. Brand new save. No pets/horses in Brindleton Bay or Chestnut Ridge. No Mayor Whiskers/Captain Whitaker. Could see pet images in Manage Households at first, but they were fully gone the next time I went there.

Everything is exactly like yours. New folder, restored game, new save, no animals.

I'm seeing this as well in new (clean, vanilla) saves made after the 8/19 update.  The pets still appear in the household thumbnail images in manage households but are gone from the lot.  Catarina Lynx has no cats and Sienna is sans Flapjack.

Hello! Thank you for your reply. I actually got this issue after I started a new game. Before it everything seemed to be normal. I will try to do what you mentioned and see how it goes. Thank you !
