Finally, someone’s talking about this! Pets adopted through neighborhood stories have spawned breedless for years. I even tried making a mod that fixes this in S4S, but nothing worked since the system uses the same code as stray generation (with the strays having actual breeds assigned to them). So why do pets who generate as strays, adoptable pets, or vet clinic patients (when there isn't enough pet owners in the save) spawn correctly with actual breeds than the ones generated via neighborhood stories, even though they have the same code structure for generation? And it's frustrating not being able to edit households with the pets in CAS without changing the breed, I always have to type in "Mixed Breed" and call it a day.
