Child is unrelated and you can't care for it

After my newborn aged up to an infant, it became unrelated to both of his parents and neither of them could do anything to care for him, the only option was to adopt him. I went into CAS and made him related to his parents again but when I went back into the game they still can't interact at all. The only interaction it shows is to get introduced by caregivers, however he doesn't have any caregivers due to the glitch, so you can't click on it. I tried resetting my game but nothing has worked and it has made my save unplayable.
