During the GeekCon festival, it's impossible to participate in the programming competition (hackathon), while the video game competition remains available. Tested on a clean save without mods. When the tournament announcement appears, the computers are highlighted, but the required interaction is missing

Same issue here. Even after "Challenges begun" notification Hackatron does not appear (gaming is fine though)
I have the same bug. I'm a bit unsure when it appeared in my game.
Tested without mods.With the latest update to The Sims version 1.120.117.1030.DX9, the pirataton on frikicon doesn't work. The computers light up but don't give you the option to participate. I also reported this on the Spanish forum, as I can express myself better in my own language.
I play The Sims 4 on my computer, and I also have the same issue. The hackathon interaction does not appear on the festival computers.
I went to Geekcon, and my sim who is maxed out level in programming was unable to do the Hackathon when it was announced. The computers lit up, and she was able to do the videogame contest, but in the selection menu on the computers there was no Hacking challenge.
I just bought this pack, play on the console, cannot join hackathon either.

I came here because I am having the same issue. I bought all the packs and have no mods. This just started for me.

I am have the same issue. Notification of Hackathon starting, Computers glowing, but nothing and I needed to win the computer so I could start my writing career! ugh...please fix
