Club Reset points and defaults to 6 members (Patch 1.108.289)

I have it happen when I play rotational, I've had it for years.
I don't spend points in clubs anymore because of it (last couple of years I'd say) so I forgot about this being an issue.

I spend points on getting more slots in the club (8 instead of 6), I might give them some skilling perks etc.

When I then come back to that household (or any household that has a sim in that club) the points to spend will be set to 0 (even if I left the household with points still to spend) and all perks are reset. So the last two sims are kicked out of the club since those are now locked again and I need to unlock them again.

It is just be an endless cycle of spending points and it going away.

I have a rotational save where I play all the premades and clubs are always reset when I get back to a household. I think the time spent away from sims that are in the club to begin with is a cause of it. If you just play a household, create a club and spend some points, it wont automatically go away if you spend a few sims days with another household before going back. It needs more time to fester... But it affects all clubs, at least for me. 

I wonder if the slots for more sims are an actual trigger for it, or if it is simply just that you notice it then.
