[DO] Food not arriving

The only time I haven't have food served is while on that particular date.  Testing on PC to replicate hasn't been as cut and dried as it should have been.  I took a single sim back to the restaurant the next day and food was served normally.  However, I took her parents back to the restaurant that night to try another date and darned if I didn't run into another bug I haven't seen in my game before.  This one:  [DO] No host or chefs at restaurant (Visit) | EA Forums - 12366393

The restaurant is in Sulani so I had the sims swim and talk and close to the end of the date the staff suddenly showed up.  By the time I could have one request a table, the date ended before they could be seated.  I went ahead and had them order to make sure more than one sim could successfully get a meal delivered and it was.  The following afternoon I sent the parents back to the restaurant to try yet another date and things went awry again.  As soon as they were seated they started popping up and down out of their chairs.  I had the male sim queued up to order food for the table and the female sim got out of her chair and walked to a waiter across the restaurant and the icon that food was ordered appeared and then changed to waiting for food to be delivered.  They still kept trying to get up and down, which I usually don't see at all.  It was at that point I realized that even though other staff was present, there was no chef in the kitchen, even though the visual clues that should have meant they were waiting for food were there.  I let the date play out to see if a chef ever arrived, but none did.  I even had them hang out for a while after giving up the table and no chef ever arrived.

The following day I took them to a restaurant in Newcrest.  All staff was present, and food was delivered.  The glitch was no options other than request a table and socialize would complete.  I can't say that all dates will end with no food served.  I can say that is the only situation for which I've not had food served but can't consistently replicate the issue.  If the restaurant in Sulani wasn't one that I have used for years with no issues, I would most likely think it was a glitched lot.  That's not the case though.  I know now that if sims are constantly getting up and down from their table that a chef is probably not on the lot, although that could extend to any necessary staff being missing.

maigan1​ The results I see could very well be due to the fact that I am on PC, not console.  Don't think for an instant that if our testing results are different that yours aren't equally as valid for your platform.
